About
The human side of technology.
Connie Hazendonk is a Salesforce Transformation Consultant, author, speaker, podcast host, and Experienced Instructor with more than a decade of experience helping organisations improve Salesforce adoption, productivity, and business performance.
Her work focuses on a challenge that many organisations underestimate: the gap between implementing technology and getting people to use it effectively. While Salesforce projects often concentrate on configuration, processes, and functionality, Connie specialises in the human side of transformation—training, enablement, onboarding, user engagement, and long-term adoption.
Unlike many professionals in the Salesforce ecosystem, Connie's perspective was shaped from the business side of the platform. Starting as what Salesforce often describes as an "accidental admin," she developed a practical understanding of both the technology and the realities faced by the people expected to use it every day. This combination of business and platform experience has become a defining feature of her work.
Throughout her career, Connie has worked with organisations across a wide range of industries, supporting new implementations, global rollouts, relaunch programmes, adoption recovery initiatives, and large-scale training transformations. She has designed and delivered learning programmes for sales teams, customer service departments, field-based employees, managers, operational leaders, and higher education institutions, helping thousands of users gain confidence and competence in Salesforce.
As a seasoned Instructor, she has spent years observing how organisations succeed—or struggle—to realise value from their Salesforce investment. One pattern consistently emerges: most Salesforce challenges are not caused by technology alone. They are caused by low adoption, inconsistent processes, poor onboarding, lack of reinforcement, and the disconnect that often exists between system design and day-to-day user reality.
This belief has shaped her writing, speaking, and thought leadership.
Connie is the author of Train to Win, a practical guide to Salesforce training and enablement, and Think Before You Build, a book designed to help business leaders and non-technical decision makers make better technology decisions. She is also the creator of the Salesforce Enablement Blueprint, a comprehensive framework designed to help organisations build scalable and repeatable enablement programmes that drive long-term adoption.
Alongside her consulting work, Connie hosts Mind The Gap, a podcast exploring the space between technology strategy and user reality. Through long-form conversations, essays, and analysis, she examines topics including Salesforce adoption, organisational change, leadership, AI readiness, training, and the human factors that influence business transformation.
Today, Connie works with organisations around the world through consulting, training, speaking engagements, and advisory services. Her mission is simple: to help organisations close the gap between technology investment and human adoption.
Because technology creates potential. People create outcomes.
“Most Salesforce problems are not technology problems. They are adoption problems.”
